Who wore the exposed leg better: Angelina Jolie at the Academy Awards, or Black Lady?

lonelywinterlotus asked "This isn't really a question, more of a thank you type thingy. You and a few other fashion blogs have inspired me to make my own. So, thank you. :) Also, I really love your blog, Sailor Moon was my first anime and has a special place in my heart because of it. I also think your outfits are really well thought-out and nicely put together. I hope to see more outfits from you in the not so distant future! Peace and Love~!"

I LOVE getting messages like this. Thank you so much for the love and I’m glad this blog was able to inspire you :)

Indie Spotlight: MoonPrism

New year, new spotlight. This set of dazzling cosplay accessories comes from MoonPrism, boasting not only an impressive collection of cosplay wands, compacts, and tiaras, but also cute bags, mirrors, and even an adorable apron. Totally in love! Those tote bags are too good!

I’m just the teeniest tiniest bit early on this but…

it’s technically New Year’s Eve on the east coast so Happy New Year! thanks for all the follows/reblogs/likes/submissions and everything else you do to keep Moonspiration going. It means so much, I can’t thank you enough.

Again, Happy New Year! (and celebrate safely, please!)

maybe I can actually keep a regular feature going here in 2012

No Indie Spotlight post this week

I apologize, I really wanted to get one up this week but I’ve been so swamped with Christmas coming this week (I know. I could have queued it. Why didn’t I? I’m still asking myself that). Rest assured that next week there will be a new post. Again, I’m sorry! In the meantime please leave suggestions for next week! Thanks :)

Surprise! Yet another fabulous SM-themed shirt from Mighty Fine. This one features pixel renderings of the Sailor team. Just like the other SM shirts they list (and most of their shirts in general, unless otherwise noted), it runs for $25 (excluding tax) and runs in men’s and women’s sizes.

Indie Spotlight: Firelight Fusions »

Not quite the norm of my spotlight posts, instead of fashion or cosplay, I’m highlighting fragrance. Yes, that’s right, Sailor Moon perfumes. This shop boasts “geek and gamer perfumes” inspired by anime, films, video games, etc. There’s one for every senshi, even Tuxedo Mask (no Chibi Moon, though?). I regret that I’m including this after their Christmas shopping deadline passed, but it’s still worth your time. (Pictures not included as the Sailor Moon items do not have actual images of the product)

Check out Firelight Fusions in the link above.

Please leave me suggestions for next week’s spotlight!

Indie Spotlight: MeatballHead

This has been featured on the blog before (as a submission) but I wanted to properly feature it as a spotlight. What we have here are Senshi bow graphics printed out as iron-on transfers so you can put them on your own T-shirt (light colors are recommended). And at $7 a pop (and a basic T-shirt shouldn’t set you back much either), it’s the easiest and most fun way to jazz up a simple shirt.

Check out MeatballHead here.
